Wesleyan’s Fall 2021 Season brought back in person trials!
WesMock welcomed ten new members to the team! Three fall teams travelled to in-person tournaments during the Fall 2021 season, teams “I Saw A Possum,” “Mercedes Bentley,” and “One Johnson Levin.”
Wesleyan’s first teams to attend a tournament were teams “I Saw A Possum” and “Mercedes Bentley” at the Happy Valley Invitational hosted by Penn State. Team “I Saw A Possum” finished with a 3-5-0 record, while team “Mercedes Bentley” finished with a record of 2-6-0. Ryan Jokelson received an award as an attorney.

Team “One Johnson Levin” was the next to compete, attending Tufts University’s Mumbo Jumbo Invitational. They finished with a record of 4-4-0, with Alicia Paglia receiving an award as an attorney, and Kathryn Campbell as a witness. Their second tournament was the University of Albany’s Capital Region Clash Invitational, where they finished with an excellent record of 5-3-0, tying for fourth place! Sam Sulzinsky received an award as an attorney.

Team “I Saw A Possum” finished their fall season at Seton Hall’s Pirate Invitational, winning the tournament with a record of 7-1-0! They also won the tournament’s Spirit of AMTA award! Jillian Pincus received an award as an attorney, and Alex Seys received an award as both a witness and an attorney.

Team “Banana Bread,” a team of members from all three fall teams, attended Tufts and Harvard University’s Boston Tea Party round robin. They finished with a record of 4-3-1, earning an honorable mention!

That rounded out the Fall 2021 season for WesMock’s three teams! Each team was split-stacked, meaning they were made up of a combination of experienced returners and new members.
